    Glynne Dunn DipFA

    Director / Financial Adviser

    Glynne enjoyed the early part of his career in the army, having attended Sandhurst where he obtained a commission in the Royal Engineers.

    In 1997 he took the decision to leave the Army, married his wife Kerry and started life as a financial adviser.

    Prior to his current position he ran an IFA firm of 27 advising consultants and the associated back office staff. He closed this practice and scaled it down to what is currently DFP Wealth Management so he could concentrate on providing face to face advice to his own client's.

    Outside of this Glynne's responsibilities include:

    • Husband and father of 3 boys
    • Vice Chairman of the youth side of Plymstock Albion Oaks rugby Club and coach of the under 15's
    • Major in the Territorial Army.

    Glynne says; “My approach to business and in particular to my clients is that I will always try and do what is best for my clients. Be open, honest and a safe pair of hands for their affairs.”

    In the early part of Tristan’s professional career, he served in the Royal Marines Commandos. Passing for duty in 2004 at the Commando Training Centre, he later gained battle honours in Sierra Leone, Afghanistan, Libya and The Gulf of Aden. In 2018 Tristan finished his military career as a Physical Training Staff Instructor.

    During 2018, Tristan studied for his financial planning qualifications under the tutorage and mentorship of the senior directors at DFP Solutions - Peter Lee and Glynne Dunn. Under this apprenticeship he gained valuable experience and exposure in Pensions, Investments and Protection. Still under the watchful eye of the senior advisers Tristan continues to develop his knowledge and experience, working closely with DFP Solutions team.

    Tristan lives in the South hams and is happily married to his wife and together, they have two children. In his spare time Tris enjoys rugby, open water swimming, Triathlons and Cornish pilot gig rowing.

    Tris say “my aim, as I embark upon my new career, is to maintain and continue the standards of loyalty, professionalism and dependability that I have upheld throughout my military career”.

    Having qualified in Business Administration in 1998, Amber worked within the Motor Industry for 23 years, predominantly in Claims Management, running her own business independently for 13 years before joining DFP in 2018. Amber has since achieved a Certificate in Paraplanning and Financial Administration.

    Good customer service is paramount to Amber. She is a quietly determined individual who strives to remain positive and fun loving. Amber is a listener, a doer, an all-rounder!

    Following graduation from Reading University in 2013 where he studied Archaeology & History, Jon spent several years working within both the leisure and property management industries. Holding management positions in customer facing roles, and has also worked overseas.

    Jon is currently enrolled within the Quilter Financial Planning Training Academy, and will soon graduate with a Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA).

    A keen sportsman, Jon plays and watches many sports. He is also a keen and competent skier and winter sports enthusiast.

    Sally brings a wealth of personal and professional experience to her role as Administrator.  An Administrator’s role is to communicate with Client’s and facilitate the smooth running of Client requests, implementing the Advisers Client recommendations.  Drawing on 18 happy years in the Pensions industry working in company Final Salaried Schemes, Sally is well placed to anticipate, respond and resolve issues for Clients.  Her insights also include the finer detail of having worked in a Pensions Technical Team for a large Corporation after the mis-selling of Personal Pensions.

    Sally’s relationship management skills are critical to her role.  She enjoys getting to know each Client personally and her approach benefits greatly from the sensitivity, holistic perspective and clinical critical thinking skills gained from twelve years as a qualified Nutritional Therapist supporting the health issues and wellness concerns of individuals.

    Unsurprisingly, when she had fulfilled her work in nutrition, she returned to the industry she knew so well and joined DFP.  When not working, she loves to be active, whether as a keen sailor, attending yoga classes, cycling or walking the fabulous South West Coast Path.
